From 2008 onwards, all the products we ship:

• have 100% recycled packaging (when that packaging is cardboard - so this does not apply to all the clam shell packs)
• have a more "environmental friendly" coating on packaging (called water based coating) and on stickers (called calendar based coating) - FYI, UV coating, which is what most companies use, is not environmental friendly and is not healthy for the workers that work with it
• have green batteries, compliant to the new EEC directive 2006-66-EC (that restricts the use of heavy metals such as lead) in batteries
• are phthalate free
• are ROHS compliant which means that the components used (e.g speaker, resistors, transistors etc, and even the soldering material) are more environmental friendly (for example the soldering material is lead free)
• are CADMIUM free

Plastic however is not recycled plastic, for obvious safety reasons in toys (since recycled plastic is less solid and might break or produce cracks more easily during drop test)
